The European Foundation for Power Engineering (EFPE) aims to:

  • Discover and encourage young engineering talents in the field of energy systems, in particular power or combined heat and power generation and emerging sustainable technologies for electricity production.

  • Provide sponsoring industries a privileged and advanced insight in the content of the submitted papers and topics together with the contact addresses of the university graduates ready to start their career.

The European Foundation for Power Engineering (EFPE) organises a yearly international contest for University graduates at the master’s level in the field of innovative energy engineering and rewards the winners at a ceremony, coinciding with the Powergen-Europe Conference, where the sponsoring industries are invited to attend.

Since more than a decade, EFPE has supported close to 100 talented engineering graduates from numerous universities within Europe when starting their professional career.

In this way, the foundation manages a bridging function between young promising talent and Industry looking for high level engineers in the field of power engineering from all over Europe.

The 2012 European Talent Award Ceremony will be held on 13 June 2012 in Cologne, coinciding with the PowerGen Conference
